- Password - Stored as a secure hash (never in plain text)

We automatically collect:

- Feature usage - Which stocks you view, watchlists you create
- API access logs - For rate limiting and abuse prevention
- Cookieless page analytics - Page paths, referrers, locale/timezone, and page performance data via our self-hosted Swetrix installation
- Client-side error reports - JavaScript error name, message, file, line, column, stack trace, and page URL to help diagnose site issues
Financial Data
We aggregate publicly available financial data from third-party sources including:
- Stock prices and market data
- News articles and SEC filings
- Earnings dates and financial events
- Bank account or brokerage credentials
- Personal financial information
- Trading activity from external platforms
- Social Security numbers or government IDs
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide the service - Display personalized watchlists and analysis
- Improve the application - Understand feature usage to prioritize development
- Maintain security - Detect and prevent unauthorized access

Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on secured servers with encryption at rest
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with appropriate work factors
- Session tokens expire after 60 minutes of inactivity

The application uses:
- Session cookies - Required for authentication
- Local storage - To store UI preferences
- Cookieless analytics - Self-hosted Swetrix page-view analytics and client-side error monitoring without advertising cookies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do use a self-hosted Swetrix deployment for privacy-focused, cookieless analytics and error monitoring.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the application.
